The India Weaved in Frames Photography Exhibition held at Kerala Lalithakala Academy, Durbar Hall Art Gallery Centre (Gallery-D), Ernakulam, Kerala on 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9th of November, 2014 was a showground where Top Trio photographs themed over the states were displayed. Being an NPO, the exhibition was put together with the support of our well wishers. We believe, when someone contributes they become a part of the same cause.

The exhibition was inaugurated at 3pm on 5th November, 2014 by 29 children, representing 29 states, of Don Bosco Sneha Bhavan, Ernakulam, Kerala by singing our National Anthem. They were briefed about significance of each image, thus let them learn our Nation’s unity in diversity. The function was presided over by Mr. Balan Madhavan, internationally acclaimed wildlife photographer, and gave away awards/certificates to the Top Trios present.

The images were displayed with details like Photographer’s name, contest (state), home town, state, profession, phone number, and a caption to the image. The exhibition was well received by the visitors and covered by some of the leading national dailies like The Hindu, Indian Express, Deccan Chronicle, etc. The event was also covered by Kerala Kaumudi Daily, Jeevan TV, and Kerala Vision TV Channel.

We are so fortunate to have a minimum of one photographer hails from every Indian state in the India Weaved in Frames Photography Exhibition. Thus the exhibition was featured with photographs not only of all Indian state but by photographers from every Indian state. This unique feature made it one of a kind affair in the history of Indian Photography.

We have also printed out a Photo Book to feature all the 87 pictures, accompanied with an exclusive write-up about each of them. It serves the purpose to know 87 different perspectives of our great Nation through Photographs. A major portion of the revenue raised from its sale was contributed for the happiness of children who deserve it. We named this humble initiative as Gift a Book | Book a Smile.

We offered something special to both the visitors and featured photographers. Visitors were asked to select their favorite photograph and we offered them free call to talk to the photographer. It was indeed a pleasant surprise to both of them and the photographers conveyed to us, it was like a honor.
